And Sew I Did!

I had been talking about sewing for quite a while now. I have always wanted to learn to do it… But with 4 kiddos running around, I just hadn’t found the time

I kept staring at this hand~me~down sewing machine for quite a while… It seemed to taunt me from the corner of the room… A haunting reminder of yet ANOTHER thing I couldn’t do right…

But today was different! I was going to sew!

And sew I did!

Let’s be real… I have NO CLUE what I am doing, and I am pretty sure you won’t be seeing my work featured on Martha Stewart any time soon. But I feel accomplished! A completed check on the BUCKET LIST!

Can I encourage you friends?

That project, that idea, that venture, that THING you have been putting off…. Not STARTING because you don’t have the TIME, or don’t want to FAIL...

Go for it! Do it! Give it a try! And be blessed by the outcome, whatever that may be.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

  5. Um wow, is that your first sewing project?! You did a great job! If I had a little girl, I'd love that on her. Love that verse, a great reminder that all of the good things we do, even if we don't feel like doing them, will be rewarded. Thanks for the encouragement!
