Introducing Flor @ Life In Progress

Have you met Flor?

I heart her. Like really, really heart her. In fact, I kind of blog stalked her for a while.
{Flor, I hope you don’t stop answering my emails}

She is honest, beautiful {both inside and out}, and BEST of all, she is not perfect.
I KNOW! I love that about her.
From dirty dishes, to posed pictures, she, in every sense of the word,
is a woman of God just trying to figure it all out.

Thank you so much, sweet friend, for taking us through a day in the life of you!

*************************

Hi Friends!
I'm Flor, from Life in Progress and this is my first time stepping out of my own little space.
Can I tell you that I'm super nervous? and yet..
I'm kinda excited to step out of my comfort zone
and share a little bit about myself and my daily life.
I don't journal and I don't scrapbook {gasp!}.. but that's the beauty of having a blog..
it's like a journal and a scrapbook all in one. Genius.

big sister, me, brother and little miss grumpy

I'm a wife to the most wonderful, patient man in the world..
and a mom of 3 little ones, ages 7, 6 & 3...
and you know what that means, right?
It's always loud around here. always.
Not gonna lie... sometimes I feel like I'm gonna lose my mind with all the things I have on my plate...
but somehow I haven't completely lost it yet.
God is very good to me.

I blog about some of my favorite things in life:
God
my family
being creative
my photography addiction {Lola is my Nikon D5000 camera and is like a member of the family}
and finding my new fashion style as a mommy of 3 kiddos.

early wake up, sleepy eyed girl, making lunches {I can tell I need to go to the grocery store}
and dropping off kids at school

7:00-9:00am
I am not a morning person.. and I will never be.
I don't like anything about the mornings. I don't hear the birds chirping outside my window
nor does the promise of a beautiful morning motivate me to get up from my warm bed.
But, remember those 3 kids?
Well, they get hungry and someone's got to feed them.
That's where I come in.
And yes... I totally posted an early morning picture of myself.
I told you I'm not a morning person.

9:30-11:30
Depending on the day of the week, usually we will either go to the gym, to the grocery store, bible study or I may stay home and catch up on house work.
On this day, Isabella and I had a little Halloween party to go to that a friend was hosting
for our MOMS Club.
It's so nice to be able to do these little things with just her..
I know there will come a time soon enough where I'm going to miss
having a little one around in the mornings.

12:00-2:00
Also known as "nap time" around here.
<sigh> I love nap time.
She doesn't care for it so much and will fight it occasionally
and when she does, well then I'll have no other choice than to resort to
bribery.
It works every time.. she'll get to have an extra reward of something or other.
I definitely don't win points for using this tactic
but I'll sacrifice points for the mental break these 2 hours give me.
I run around the house and try to finish up dishes
{that's a scary picture, isn't it?}
and finish up some laundry.
I hop on the computer for a little bit and make some quick lunch for myself and before I know it,
it's time to go pick up the kids from school.

2:30-5:30pm
This is where things get a little crazy. All three kids are in the house,
they all want a snack and they all want my attention..
at the same time.
The older kids are dying to tell me which classmate did what, and who said what
and who did that. I listen and get them going with their homework
while at the same time try to keep the little one from interrupting them.
We moms are multi-tasking experts, I tell you.
We meet up with a bestie and her child for a very quick walk/run and
and then we are back home so that we can enjoy a fine gourmet meal {today, it's spaghetti}.
The kids love it, I love it and that pretty much makes it all good.
You most definitely will not find recipes on my blog. Learning how to cook is not on my bucket list :)

6:00-8:00pm
I try not to schedule events on school nights because, as you can see,
it's already busy enough.
But this evening was special.. it was our little friends birthday and
we had to celebrate with her.
I don't know about you but by this time I am exhausted.
Kids are bathed and in bed between 7:30 or 8:00pm.
As you can see from the picture above, they go to sleep with a smile on their face.
NOT.
But that would be kinda nice though.
And then, my friends, my night just begins.
This is when I blog or catch up on some shows or clean.
My goal before going to sleep is to have some quiet time with my bible
and my devotional or work on some bible study material.
And then, it's time to call it a night..

To me, this schedule is a little hectic. I don't have alot of down time..
and I know this is just how it's gonna be for right now.
Even though it can get a little crazy at times
I know, with crystal clear clarity, that this is exactly where God wants me right now.
I wouldn't change it for anything..
not even for an unlimited supply of my favorite Hostess creme filled cupcakes.

Kimberlee, thanks so much for having me on your blog.
You, my friend, are awesome :)
