the hard way

If you’ve been following my blog, you know I went in for surgery on November 1st.

UGH!

Unfortunately, healing hasn’t gone quite like I planned.
Partially from unforeseen circumstances.
Partially because I thought I could do more.
 Mostly because I just didn’t listen to what EVERYONE around me said.
{mom always knows best}

I HATE LEARNING THINGS THE HARD WAY!

And yet, that tends to be the way I learn best.

In any event, things have started to go by the wayside. Mostly this blog.
Which makes me sad ;(

Because I love my blog. And I love my friends.

And I feel like a failure when I don’t meet my expectations
Expectations I put on myself.

Which is silly, because I set such high expectations
 {like posting something every M-F}
and I NEVER meet them
And then I fail

Yet again, something I am learning the hard way.
(are you following my ramblings)

In any event, this is ::
a THANK YOU {for the kind emails, tweets, comments and prayers}
&
a SORRY {for leaving all my followers in the dust while I recoup}
&
a LESSON {keep reading}

See, God is showing me to enjoy what is around me.
Being stuck on the couch {in the lawn chair position}
has been really hard…

 I’ve had to sit…
While the baby is crying.
While the kids are fighting.
While the dishes are dirty.
While the laundry basket is bulging.
While the husband is trying to hold it all together.

I’ve had a lot of time to sit. God is working.
And I’ll be sharing some of what He’s teaching me in the upcoming weeks.
Until then, stew on this for a bit ::

  2. Hang in there, Kim!! I know how hard it is to sit by and watch your husband try to take care of things that we moms usually do.
    Hope the healing process speeds up soon!
